I. MISSION: BCMix coordinator is in charge of :
1. Support and back up:
o Understanding BCMix software and the automation PLC(*). This requires strong electrical/automation background as well as standard IT skill for trouble shooting.
o Managing hot line for the plant people when there is an issue
o Realize the first level breakdown diagnostics and supervise correction for plant live with BCMix. Ensure the coordination with the BCMix division team when correction or further assistance is required.
2. Improving performance of production:
o Visit regularily plant for optimizing production and fixing issues
o Analysing production data whenever needed to support quality team, production or maintenance.
o Minimizing error messages and interacting with maintenance to achieve it.
o Training the local users (Plant managers, operators, QC) on how to use BCMix.
3. Installing BCMix in new plants
o Preparing the BCMix migration according to division methodology
o Installing BCMix software and the automation PLC(*). This requires strong electrical/automation background as well as standard IT skill for installing the software and configuring it.
o Coordinating with local IT when moving to connecting BCMix to other system (LABMix for quality, T-One for back office) as this requires using network and complying with group IT standard (Antivirus, IP configuration, ….)
4. Coordinating implementation and supporting interfaces between BCMix and other systems (LABMix, T-One or local Sales system).
o * PLC – Programmable Logic Controller – Automation module
II. PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
The BCMix coordinator will be successful in the job if he/she is able to
- Understand the system in order to be able to trouble shoot production issues
- Interact with maintenance team to improve performance of the production
- Successfully train so that plant teams (Plant managers and operators) understand and can use all the features of BCMix
- Install and set up a new plant , being able to install the PLC and control the connection with plant devices.
- Report requirements and bugs to the BCMix central team and implement the corrections.
- Implementation of new BCMix versions at least once a year
III. MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION:
- Manage the hot line for the plant people
- Realize the first level breakdown diagnostics and supervise correction
- Training of the personnel in the production
- Install the BCMix software and the automation PLC(*)
- Coordinating implementation and supporting interfaces between BCMix and other systems (LABMix, T-One or local Sales system).

The BCMix coordinator should have an at least 3-year experience in a similar environment in automated plants or production lines. He/she should have the following competences :
- Automation: Have knowledge on PLC (if possible schneiger) and be trained on Lafarge ready mix set up.
- Electrical: Manage all equipments connected with the PLC for the Ready Mix operation. Have a good understanding of electrical issues and wiring :
- IT: Have a minimum knowledge on PC and Windows environment to be able to do all the necessary operations at the plant level
